James M. Shanahan
Jim is the founder and President of Gotham Color, and he brings a unique background from the financial sector into his business perspective. He leveraged his experience and insight as an executive in the banking industry, and created a template for success in providing some of New York City’s largest financial companies with Digital On Demand, Wide Format printing, and finishing services.
As the needs of his clients began to evolve, so did Jim’s client-centered philosophy, and he began to set the wheels in motion for creating a more complete service offering that became Gotham Color. It was Jim’s belief that the client experience should be stress-free and solution-based, with the ultimate goal being the customer’s satisfaction.
That belief led him to add other services such as Creative, Offset Printing, Promotional Items, Mailhouse Services, and Variable Data Printing, thereby creating a “one-stop shopping” experience for clients with any Marketing and/or Events needs.
Jim is a member of several organizations, including the New York Private Equity Network (NYPEN), as well as the XYZ group. He is also a dedicated coach of his daughter’s soccer team, and is the President of the Harrison soccer league.
